L'avis de Gault&Millau
Set in one of the city’s iconic Neo-Romanian style villas, surrounded by a large noble tree garden, Casa Doina is a traditional Romanian restaurant built upon a rich history, dating back to the late 19th century. The menu features many classical dishes – from steak tartare and the ubiquitous sauerkraut pork rolls with polenta –, and also newer popular entries, such as the Marinero Mussels, freshly brought from the Black Sea. Expect consistency, good, professional service and an all in-all pleasant dining experience in an elegant venue. Live music – from classical jazz to traditional tunes – plays in the evenings, and if the weather is right, don’t miss out on eating outside.
