Accommodated by an imposing century old villa, with a Belle Époque touch for the interior, Casa Domnească is popular with all kind of crowds. Understandably so, since the atmosphere is relaxed, even better when the piano man plays his old-fashioned tunes. The menu is a mix of traditional and international – from fasole făcăluită, the Romanian version of a bean mash, to mains with a little twist, such as the pork rack with spicy sweetcorn and onion jam, or the grilled beef with asparagus, mushrooms and sundried tomatoes. The dessert is a must, namely the three house specialty cakes: His Mom, Her Mom, and The Daughter in Law. All well executed, using good quality ingredients, and a splash of nostalgia.
