Set on the popular banks of the Herăstrău lake, Ancora (the urban sister of the iconic Popasul Pescarilor from the seaside, in Olimp) is a restaurant worthy of a visit for a meal with fish from the Black Sea, freshwater fish, but also various Mediterranean dishes. Most of the fish prepared either on the griddle or in the traditional saramură (brine) is fresh (turbot, sturgeon, mullet, carp, catfish, zander), and you won’t go wrong by choosing some of the classical dishes – the pike roe, fish balls or mussels in wine sauce are all simple, honest, well-prepared, and satisfy any craving for sea flavors.
