The charming setting, in an old building by the lake in the Cluj Central Park, is Chios’s first selling point. Next comes the design, which highlights the original architecture by using modern textures, in line with the promise of a comforting, European fusion culinary experience. The menu is quite broad, ranging from simple dishes such as pizza or burgers, to more interesting ones – perch fillet with beetroot risotto and shrimp bisque, grilled halloumi with onion jam, carrot puree, fennel chips, and bell pepper sauce or the layered chocolate cake with biscuits and a hazelnut praline paste. The well-stocked bar also recommends it for a relaxed weekend afternoon with family and friends.
