Chef: Avi STEINITZ Veranda Casa Frumoasă is located, as the name suggests, in the bright veranda of a beautiful interwar house in the central area of the city. Elegant and sophisticated, the restaurant proposes a rather concise, contemporary international menu. You may start with a marinated seabass, garnished with a pumpkin seed pesto and Manchuria fish roe. For the main dish you can try the beef medallion with porcini mushrooms and sour cream sauce. The dessert is creative and satisfying – a Crème Brûlée Semifreddo with raspberries, goji flakes, and caramel shards. The service is attentive and professional, and the drinks menu includes a section with prestigious wines from France and Italy.

The place is busy with people searching for fresh fish, either for take-away or to have it cooked there. Raw, marinated, smoked, fried or grilled a la plancha, the fish comes with nicely prepared sides like asparagus, risottos, and warm bread. The ceviche with salmon, calamari and octopus is a good appetizer, as well as the smoked gilt-head bream on a bed of chickpeas. As for mains, go for the qulama, fish & chips, seabass fillet a la plancha, ask the staff for a recommendation or just pick whatever catches your eye from the vast display at the counter. Chef: Cristian LAZĂR Part of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Prime Steaks & Seafood borrows its restrained elegance, which makes it the perfect restaurant for a business lunch or a romantic dinner. The Duo of Foie Gras is a refined starter, with the duck liver cooked two ways – grilled and as a paté –, and balanced by a chili jam. Steaks of beef from Argentina, Uruguay but also Romania are cooked to order and perfectly so, and enjoy the company of various homemade mustards and sauces.
