Ginger Sushi Bar & Lounge

Gault&Millau Bewertungen

Chef: Phursand LAMA For a sushi evening in a modern restaurant in the heart of Bucharest, Ginger Sushi is the place to go. Following the classic Japanese standards, the sushi here distinguishes itself both through the quality of ingredients and execution. The miso soup, light and flavorful, makes for a perfect introduction. Next, you can try the Nigiri with tuna, salmon, or yellowtail, all with fresh, tender fish and fragrant rice, of good consistency. Among the Maki combinations, beside those with fish or vegetables, you will also find some with beef or foie gras. For dessert, you should try the creamy and refreshing mango and wasabi mousse – less experimental than it sounds, but certainly special. YUKI Japanese home dining

Strada Puțul lui Zamfir, nr. 5, Bucharest

Japanisch

Chef: Carmen ALEXE A purist izakaya in Bucharest, yuki respects all codes required by this kind of Japanese pub: the mandatory welcome greeting, the efficient politeness, a cabinet with tea bowls belonging to regular customers, and a menu with comforting, impeccable dishes. The Wafu udon salad is a nice introduction, with homemade udon noodles and seaweed. Next, try the Saba no tatsuta-age – soy and ginger marinated and then fried mackerel –, Kamo yaki – pan fried duck breast with sansho pepper –, or Misokatsu, a pork schnitzel lighter than the European counterpart, served with a rich and flavorful sauce. Beer, sake (cold or warm), and Genmaicha, a green tea with roasted rice, are all ideal pairings. Meeresfrüchte

May 2019: Raionul de Pește is temporarily closed for renovation work The Gault&Millau 2018 Award | POP Trophies was won by Raionul de Pește The beehive noise inside the Dorobanți market creates a surprisingly pleasant atmosphere for Raionul de Pește, just as in a proper fish market. The place is busy with people searching for fresh fish, either for take-away or to have it cooked there. Raw, marinated, smoked, fried or grilled a la plancha, the fish comes with nicely prepared sides like asparagus, risottos, and warm bread. The ceviche with salmon, calamari and octopus is a good appetizer, as well as the smoked gilt-head bream on a bed of chickpeas. As for mains, go for the qulama, fish & chips, seabass fillet a la plancha, ask the staff for a recommendation or just pick whatever catches your eye from the vast display at the counter. Grill & Barbecue Meeresfrüchte

Chef: Cristian LAZĂR Part of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Prime Steaks & Seafood borrows its restrained elegance, which makes it the perfect restaurant for a business lunch or a romantic dinner. The Duo of Foie Gras is a refined starter, with the duck liver cooked two ways – grilled and as a paté –, and balanced by a chili jam. Steaks of beef from Argentina, Uruguay but also Romania are cooked to order and perfectly so, and enjoy the company of various homemade mustards and sauces. As for fish dishes, the Mediterranean Bream is a more than convincing option. The wine selection is broad – and presented on a tablet, with descriptions and pairing recommendations.
