Tucked between old lane houses in what used to be a typical 19th century periphery neighborhood, J’ai Bistrot is one of those secrets everybody in town knows about. The garden is a cool summer haven, while in winter, the tight and hip indoor space is packed. The menu is casual, with all the expected morning to late night drinks, and a food selection that will keep you going. Beside the standard burgers or pastas, you will find some dishes with a twist: the grilled salmon salad with Beluga lentils and fresh raspberry sauce, or the tender pork schnitzel with homemade sweet chili jam. There’s also a lunch menu during workdays, and events such as movie screenings, concerts or parties in the evenings.
