With an elegant simplicity, Jules brings the charm of a French bistro in Sibiu. The menu is concise and well put together, with an obvious interest for local products – the whole beef section, for instance. The chicken liver pâté is a bittersweet harmony of flavors, the creamy texture balanced by the caramelized almonds. The beef cheek, well cooked, is served with celeriac puree with truffles and parsnip chips. And if you’re lucky and the Tarte maison – the generic title of the day’s dessert – is the poached pear with salted caramel and tangy sour cream, you will certainly leave completely satisfied.
