Krud

Gault&Millau Bewertungen

Chef: Ion CRIHAN Situated in an interwar villa from the Copou neighborhood, Krud is a restaurant that also serves as a grocery store, with products “picked and chosen” from all parts of the country. Locally sourced ingredients are in the spotlight, but you will also find some international elements on the menu. For instance, the avocado with orange sauce – a nice combination of textures, due to the seared fruit, complemented by homemade potato chips. The aged beef is locally sourced – the panko crusted sirloin, perfectly seasoned, is a good option. The wine list features various Romanian and Moldavian labels, with some options by the glass. The place is popular, so browse through the shop while waiting. Discover more about Krud Braserie on our new local gastronomy platform. Strada Gându, nr. 2, Iași

Mediterran Französisch

The Gault&Millau 2019 Award | Regional Chefs of the Year | Moldova was won by Claudia BĂCĂUANU, from Toujours Chef: Claudia BĂCĂUANU Toujours is a small family restaurant, warm and welcoming, which allows you to explore cuisines from around the world, with stops in famous destinations such as France and the Mediterranean, Asia, and America. From the French section of the menu we recommend the Caviar Pork Belly – the tender meat has a crispy crust and comes with a smooth potato puree, everything beautifully tied together by the truffle sauce and caviar. The Asian Tempura is remarkable due to the freshness of the vegetables, highlighted by the preparation and balanced by a wasabi soy sauce. You could stay in Asia for dessert too, with a reinterpreted white chocolate and lemon tart. Discover more about Toujours on our new local gastronomy platform. Tiki Bistro

Tiki Bistro

Piața Unirii, nr. 6, Iași

Chef: Vitalie ROTARI Located in the Unirii Square, Tiki transports you to a faraway jungle, full of lush plants and wood sculpted figurines. This theme of the restaurant is also reflected in the menu, especially in the coffee and tea section, which features some interesting rarities. The food proposition is international, and ranges from sushi to hummus, pasta or salads. A rich and comforting dish is the pork tenderloin with a sweet-and-sour plum sauce, potato gratin, and onion flakes. The wine list is rather concise, but the rest of the drinks menu compensates through a noteworthy selection. Discover more about Tiki Bistro on our new local gastronomy platform.
