La Kostas

L'avis de Gault&Millau

If you’re up for a Greek treat, in a typical taverna – often crowded, a bit noisy, live music included, nothing fancy yet pleasant –, La Kostas is the place to go. You can easily spot this semi-improvised building arrangement by the standard marine blue and white design and the Mediterranean inspired décor is not misleading. The menu focuses on fish and seafood (brought directly from Greece). From cold salads such as the Meze Kos plate – a mix of marinated octopus, small shrimps, anchovies and smoked fish spread served with pita bread –, to proper mains like Pescadritsa, a home style fish and feta cheese oven baked casserole. Gyros and other traditional meat dishes are also present.
