La Pescăria Dorobanților is a small family restaurant, offering fresh fish from the Danube, the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. The space is bright, with a rustic, sea themed décor (white floors and shabby chic chairs, reed panels, sailor’s knots), the service is friendly and informal, as is the menu – short, handwritten. For dinner, you can enjoy seven or eight types of fish in simple recipes: soups, on the grill or griddle, breaded, in a saramura (brine). There are also “exceptions” such as the zander in almond crust or the seabream carpaccio. Lunches are in Italian style, proposed by another chef, which brings diversity. The dessert is also always changing, a recipe with childhood charm.
