Fish and seafood naturally reign over the menu – most of them local, along some options from the Mediterranean. As a starter, try the house special Mussels smoked by the unrivalled and fearless Ionică and his brothers. Then, any kind of fresh fish, simply cooked on a griddle or fried. Or the Black Sea snails, in a subtle white wine sauce. The wine list isn’t particularly varied, but Matei’s Beer, brewed in-house, easily compensates.
