One of the oldest restaurants for Middle Eastern fare in Bucharest, Piccolo Mondo goes beyond the usual Lebanese specialties. The menu offers many specialties baked in the brick oven, such as the meat-filled pastry sfiha. The ras asfour beef in pomegranate sauce creates a perfect balance of fragrant, fruity and savory, and the crunchy-fresh fattoush salad plays as an interesting mouth cleanser between the seemingly endless flavors you can have on the table. The menu encourages one to order plenty of things to share, and the restaurant seems very capable to manage big groups.
