Already since 1996, Popasul Pescarilor has established itself as a mandatory summer destination at the seaside. Located outside any resort, on the way to Olimp, the restaurant offers a menu focused on fish from the Black Sea, but also some species from the close by lakes. The atmosphere is that of a respectable institution, with tens of waiters serving the local classics: fresh pike roe, fried horse mackerel, griddled flounder and garfish, all served with polenta and the house special sauce – Genocide. The consistent quality is key to its success (reservations are recommended), along with the ultimate pleasure of enjoying a meal on the sand, with a direct view to the sea and the kites floating in the sky.
