Located in a quieter area of town, intimate and simply designed, Tokyo is a lovely restaurant for a calm evening with good Japanese food. Beside the extensive array of classic sushis, makis and sashimis, it is worth trying something more creative, such as the spicy tuna roll topped with caramelized onions, or one of the izakaya-style cooked dishes. The homemade Zaru Tofu, crumbly and salty, is perfectly balanced by the addition of fresh and fried green onions and ginger, tempura drops and radishes, while the grilled eel with soy sauce is beautifully cooked and seasoned. The staff is particularly professional and will readily explain the dishes and guide you through the subtleties that will enhance your dinner.
