Chef: Jonas SCHÄFER Located in the picturesque village of Cund, Valea Verde has become a well-known Transylvanian destination not only as a guesthouse, but also for its authentic and gourmet cuisine. The team led by Jonas Schäfer offers a daily dinner menu of seven dishes, reflecting a modern, multicultural approach of the local, rural gastronomy. Many of the ingredients are sourced from the village and nearby – the cheese from Manufactura, the vegetables and herbs. All to be featured in well-thought dishes, such as the ricotta raviolo with nettles, poached egg and a hint of truffle. Wine receives the same level of attention, with a selection featuring both Romanian and famous international labels, as well as dedicated weekend tastings.
